Day 23 - March 19, 2011
Today, the moon was closer to the Earth than it has been in 18 years, a mere 221,565 miles away. I should have gone out to the beach and took the photo as it was rising but I didn't think about it until it was too late. So, I got it as it was rising over the trees across the street. I took many photos as it was hard to judge how much illumination would show up in the photo. Some day I will take a photo of the moon that shows all of the detail of the craters.
Photo settings are: f/8, 1 sec., ISO 200
