Photo 145 - 365 Cardinal

We have a beautiful Cardinal that loves our bird feeder (as does a squirrel or two! Ha ha!) All winter he would come by and eat just when it was getting dark so it was hard for me to get a good photo of him. Now that the weather is warming up he has been coming by earlier and I finally got a photo of him!

The bird feeder is from my friend Shelly Rae Wood at ARTful Salvage. You can see her shop here:

Photo 144 - 365 - Snow

As I mentioned before, we did manage to get some snow last weekend. Thankfully it didn't stick around too long.  I kept trying to get a good photo of the fence with the snow on it. This the best shot I got.

Photo 143 - 365 Spring is Coming

This weekend we got SNOW! It was the best snow too because it started in the evening so we got to watch it fall and the next day, it started melting and going away.  The best snow for me is the snow that I don't have to drive in. :) Anyway, I did get out and took a few photos. I couldn't resist the daffodils. There is no snow in this photo, but the droplets are ice droplets. These flowers are always so pretty and just bring a smile to my face because it means that Spring is coming...

Photo 142 - 365 Still Life

I really wanted to take photos today but didn't really want to get out so....  I set this up in my kitchen.  Love the colors. This is the Pop Art setting on my camera. Really makes the colors "POP"  Ha ha...

Photo 141 - 365 Bottoms Up!

Inspiration can come to you when you least expect it! I was doing floor exercises one day when I looked up at our cabinet and saw this, my husband's shot glass collection, from below. It is a different point of view!

Photo 140 - 365 Macro Moss

Today was a GORGEOUS day! 75 degrees and sunny. Very nice. I really don't like the cold so it makes me happy to see days like these in the middle of January.  So, I took my camera out back and took a few macro shots. I found this moss at the base of a tree. The sun was shining which gave me great light. The top photo is  the normal version and the photo below is with the Dynamic Art filter on my camera. The color of the moss was just amazing! After a few shots of the moss, I sat out on the deck with my Hubby and we watched the birds and enjoyed the wonderful weather. :)
